Six hospitalized due to car fire in Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH, FL – Six people suffered critical injuries after a car fire in Boynton Beach on Sunday night, according to Boca News Now. 

The victims were in a northbound vehicle on Florida’s Turnpike when the incident occurred near mile marker 86 around 9:20 p.m.

It is not clear what caused the fire. There was no accident and police are investigating whether it was a mechanical failure or caused by one of the passengers.

One of the victims, a child, was airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center. The other five occupants were also hospitalized with critical burns.
