Wreck in Royal Palm Beach leaves one dead

ROYAL PALM BEACH, FL – A 23-year-old man was killed in Royal Palm Beach on Tuesday after a collision on Belvedere Road, local news reports.

The accident occurred in front of the Royal Palm Beach Wal-Mart shortly after 8 p.m. The victim was travelling east on Belvedere Road when he suddenly changed lanes and accelerated to pass another car.

As he did so, he struck a westbound vehicle that was stopped in the left-hand turn lane in the center of the road. He was killed at the scene.

No other injuries have been reported at this time.
